Seljataga on üks ääretult kuum nädalavahetus Saksamaal. Laupäev oli keeruline – ilm oli palav ja rada raske. Sellegipoolest suutsin esimese sõidu 19. lõpetada. Pühapäeval oli tunne parem ja sõitsin pikalt 14. kohal, kuni otsustasin ühe suurema mullaproovi võtta. Finišis olin taaskord 19. Kolmandas sõidus sain selle hooaja parima stardi ning jõudsin kurvi esimeste seas. Paraku aga põrkasin kokku kaasvõistlejaga ja tegin jalale haiget. Nüüd võtsime suuna taas koju, kus laseme igaks juhuks täpsemad uuringud teha.
Esimesel aastal 250cc klassis on minu eesmärgiks püsida tervena ja Euroopas sihtida punktikohti ehk top 20. Sel nädalavahetusel sain küll häid tulemusi, kuid natuke õnne jäi puudu, et mõlemat eesmärki täita. Olen aga indu täis ja sõidan järgmisel korral ebaõnnest kiiremini.
It was a blazing hot weekend in Germany. Saturday was a hard day – the weather was extreme and the track was difficult. Nevertheless, I was 19th in the first race. I felt so much better on Sunday, holding 14th place, until I decided to make friends with the dirt. Still managed to bring it home in 19th, again. I had the best start of the season in the third race and reached the first corner among the first racers. Unfortunately, I collided with a fellow competitor and hurt my leg. Now we’re headed back home, where I will, just in case, have a more thorough check-up.
During my first year in the 250cc class, my goal is to not get hurt and to aim for points in Europe, i.e. top 20. I had good results this weekend, but lacked a little luck to achieve both goals. Can’t wait to get back on track and drive faster than misfortune next time.
